How does Shopping on Dote work?

We want to make shopping from your phone easy. When you tap “BUY” for items you want, we place an order for you directly through the retailer offering the product. It’s that easy! Return policies and prices are exactly the same as what you’d find on the retailer website and all of our payment processing is completely secure. Think of us as your free personal shopper!

Why should I buy using Dote?

Dote solves the problem of having to manage accounts from multiple retailers and makes purchasing from your phone easy. Once you enter your payment and shipping details, they are securely saved so you never have to bother entering them again.

What happens once I place my order?

As soon as you place the order, the Dote support team fulfills it directly with the retailer offering the product. We’re like a one-stop shop for all of your mobile shopping needs! In the rare event that an item is no longer available, we won’t charge you a thing and will suggest similar products that you might like instead.

Do you accept International Orders?

Right now, we only allow shipping to the United States. We are working on expanding internationally and will let you know if and when that changes!

At what point is my credit card charged?

Your card is only charged when we’ve confirmed that we’ve been able to place the order with the retailer.

What if there are special promotions or deals available on the retailer websites?

At Dote, we know you want the best price and promise to give that to you. We will apply any deals or promo codes that are active on the website of the retailer at the time you place the order. We’ll even dig around a big to see if there are additional savings we can provide- awesome, right?

How do I contact someone at Dote?

You can contact someone at Dote anytime by emailing hello@doteshopping. If you provide your phone number we will give you a call back to discuss the issue as soon as posisble.

How do I know I’m getting the best price?

We guarantee that you are getting the very best price available on the retailers site. This means if there are promo codes or special deals, we will apply those offers too! If somehow you are able to find the product at a price lower than what we charged you for it, let us know, and we’ll be happy to get if for you at the lower price.

Is shopping on Dote secure? What happens to my card info?

Dote is partnering with Braintree Payment Solutions; a Validated Level 1 PCI DSS Compliant Service Provider which means it is literally the most secure level possible. You are in the very best hands.

What shows up on my credit card statement?

Any purchases made through Dote will show up on your credit card as “Dote Shopping.” We will try to also provide the item name and description but that’s not always possible. If you ever have a question please drop us a line at [email protected]. We are very responsive.

How do I return or exchange items?

It’s hard to know if somethings going to fit from a picture- we get it. Fortunately you are subject to the same retailer return policies. The return policy should be right on the packaging with the items you’ve received from the retailer. If you follow those instructions, you should be able to get a refund! If you have any issues at all, email us at [email protected].

Unfortunately not all products can be returned and it’s easy to understand why- undergarments, customized items, or final sale items. Again, please follow the retailer policy for all return items.

When will I get my refund?

As soon as we have confirmation that the return has been accepted, we’ll refund you for your order! We are pretty quick over here.

How do I cancel my order?

Email us as soon as possible at [email protected]. If we haven’t placed the order yet, no problem. If the order is already on it’s way, we’ll send you all the information you need to return it to the retailer. As soon as we get confirmation from the retailer that they have the item back, we’ll get you your refund!
